We offer classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary/Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Acro Dance, and Musical Theater. For our preschool students we offer Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet/Tap.
What ages do you teach?
Our preschool classes are for students ages 3 – 5 years old, our Beginning Level 1 classes are for students 6 – 8 years of age and our Beginning Level 2 through Advanced, (including Lyrical, Modern and Hip Hop), are for students ages 9 and older.
Where will my child be placed?
Students are placed in class by their ability. Age and prior dance experience will be taken in to consideration.
What are your tuition fees?
Tuition fees differ by class and by studio. Please see the correct page on the website to determine the tuition cost for the class that you are interested in.
How do your payment sessions work?
Saline: Our full dance year is (32) weeks. Tuition payments are due at registration, week 8 (session II), week 16 (session III) and week 24 (session IV) of the dance year. Costume fees are due with the week 8 (session II) payment.
Tecumseh: Our full dance year is (32) weeks. Tuition payments are due at registration, week 8 (session II), week 16 (session III), and week 24 (session IV) of the dance year. Costume fees are due with the week 8 (session II) payment.
What is the correct attire for dance class?
This information is listed in the studio policies, which can be viewed on the registration page of the corresponding studio. Students are expected to wear the proper dance wear for their class(es).
Where can I go to purchase dancewear?
Dancer’s Boutique in Ann Arbor is a good source for dancewear. You may also find items online at Discount Dance Supply.
What if my child drops their classes?
If it is within two weeks of the first week of the session, the prorated tuition fees will be refunded. There will be no refunds for classes missed, however you will not be required to continue payment for the following classes/sessions.
What if my child misses a class?
Check with your instructor. They will give you a good alternate class that your child can take to “make up” the class that they missed.
What is your policy for closing the studio due to inclement weather?
We do not follow the school closings. You will need to check the home page of the website after 2 p.m. on that day of classes.

Yes, Dance Steps Studio offers a Competition Team that the students audition to participate in. There are special time and financial commitments to belong to the Competition Team. We will compete in the winter/spring season and perform in community events and special performances throughout the year.
